I have been in the financial services business since I first qualified for my Iowa Insurance License on July 31, 1983. I established DW Insurance Company Inc in 1996 and have been the Branch Manager and doing business as Bettendorf Financial Group since 1998. Over the years I have continued to expand my knowledge base of the industry and have added a couple of professional designations – CLU and ChFC – to my name. While I am proud of my success in the field, I am more proud that I have been able to serve my clients well, and I strive to give them sound financial advice and help guide them toward secure futures. Many of my clients have been with me for more than 20 years and it is the trust that they have in me and the personal connection that we have that brings me so much satisfaction. My wife Sheila and I have been lifelong residents of the Quad Cities. We have two grown sons that are still in the area. Sheila and I enjoy traveling in our motor home with our two Hungarian Sheepdogs – my girls Zoey and Sasha.
I entered the Insurance and Investment Industry in 1998. I joined Bettendorf Financial Group as an Advisor in 2002. I enjoy working with families and businesses helping them gain financial success. I grew up in DeWitt and now reside in Davenport with my wife Penny and our two Olde English Bulldogs, Wrigley and Soldier. I am an avid sports fan (if you couldn’t tell by our dogs’ names). I enjoy cooking and bar-b-que. In the summertime we spend our weekends camping or as we like to say “outdoor living”. I’ve also been known to hack around a golf course a time or two.
I am a Financial Advisor for Bettendorf Financial Group. In addition to serving my client’s Financial Planning and Investment Portfolio Management needs, I am also responsible for developing investment ideas and portfolios for the entire office to consider. I am originally from Massachusetts and enjoy living with my wife and son in Bettendorf. My wife and I are active in the bicycling community as volunteers, advocates, riders and occasional racers.
I have been in the financial services industry since I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in economics. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago where I started out as a financial advisor but was quickly recruited to become a wholesaler. I was a wholesaler of financial products for about 6 years before realizing the travel involved was keeping me away from my family. It was in 2006 that I made the move to the Quad Cities and began working at Nelson Brothers Agency doing life and health insurance while still doing financial services through Bettendorf Financial Group. Over the years, I have continued to expand my knowledge base of the industry and in May of 2016, I earned my AIF® designation. In July of 2018, I made the decision to move over to Bettendorf Financial Group to work full time as a financial advisor. My wife Sara and I have 6 kids together who keep us very busy. We currently live at Fyre Lake in Sherrard, IL and enjoy our weekends boating and fishing on the lake. I also enjoy any chance I get to be out on the golf course.
I joined Bettendorf Financial Group in 2018 as the Chief Operations Officer. I oversee the staff, assist the advisors to make sure they are in compliance with industry regulations, and help to insure clients have a positive experience. I have been in the financial services industry since 2001 after obtaining my insurance licenses. I have since added several additional securities licenses which allow me to be an OSJ Designee. I graduated from Colorado Technical University with my bachelor’s degree in business administration/human resources. My family and I, along with our beagles, Dollar and Dynomite and labs, Bailey and Brandy, live in Moline. Although I am a self-proclaimed workaholic, I do enjoy spending time fishing, going to hockey games and participating in trivia events.
I have been with Bettendorf Financial Group since March of 2014. I assist the advisors with new account paperwork and coordinate the process of getting accounts opened and funded. I love working with our clients and am available to answer any of your paperwork related questions. I am also a full-time college student at Augustana College working toward a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business with a concentration in finance, which will allow me to help our clients further their financial planning goals. I live in Moline, Illinois with my husband Greg and our young son. We enjoy camping and cycling as a family.
I joined Bettendorf Financial Group in 2018 as an Administrative Assistant/Junior Financial Advisor. I enjoy working with clients and other professionals on a daily basis. I bring over 13 years of industry experience to the team. I came from Annex Wealth Management in Elm Grove, Wisconsin. Before Annex Wealth Management I worked for BMO Harris Financial Advisors, formerly known as Marshall & Ilsley Company for over ten years. I hold my Life and Health Insurance license, General Securities Representative license (Series 7), Uniform Securities Agent State Law license (Series 63) and Uniform Investment Adviser Law license (Series 65). I also obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. I live in Bettendorf with my son and our two dogs. When I am not volunteering I enjoys watching my son play soccer, outdoor photography, traveling, reading and swimming.
I joined Bettendorf Financial Group in 2018 as the front desk Administrative Assistant. I have worked in customer service in some capacity since I began working at the age of 16. I have worked in the banking and retail industries while attending Black Hawk College. I am married to my high-school sweetheart and we have 3 children together, 1 girl and 2 boys. When I’m not working, I am generally at a sporting event or band appearance for one of my children. More than anything else I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy reading, movies, knitting, working with the public, meeting new people, learning new things and am a huge Cubs fan. I love animals and am a advocate for “bully” breeds such as pit bulls and rottweilers.
